SAINTS have confirmed young midfielder Caleb Watts has joined League One Morecambe on a season-long loan.

Australia international Watts has joined the Shrimpers off the back of a loan spell at Crawley, which was cut short by a hamstring injury.

But now back at full fitness, Watts is set to link up with Derek Adams’s side for the 2022-23 campaign.

A statement from Saints said: “The club wishes Caleb well for the upcoming season and looks forward to monitoring his progress whilst out on loan.”

Shrimps boss Adams added: “I am delighted to add Caleb to the squad, his high-energy, attacking style of play will add a different dynamic to our team."

Watts made four senior appearances for Saints suring 2020-21, including his debut in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury Town.
