Salefu unhappy with Remo Stars' position

A one-sided defeat at home spelled the end for the Sky Blue Boys in the Nigeria top-flight, as they face life in the National League next season

Remo Stars’ Oche Salefu says he is unhappy with his side’s position on the Nigeria Professional Football League table.

The Sky Blue Stars are 19th on the table with just 19 points from 18 league games.

And the midfielder believes their poor start to the season has a lot to do with their current situation.

"I’m not happy with our current position on the log because we don't deserved to be at that position at all, but I’m so sure we will leave our current position for the top," Salefu told Goal.

"We started the season poorly so we cannot blame anyone for our current position; we just have to keep working hard to ensure we leave that position as soon as possible.

On what Fatai Osho has brought to the Sagamu side to inspire confidence in them, Salefu said: "Nothing different from what the previous coaches had taught us but, coach Osho believes more in possession football."
