Salford Red Devils triumphed 30-10 over bottom club Widnes Vikings to go third in the Super League on Sunday.
The hosts were in control from the off and led 12-0 at half-time thanks to tries from Ben Murdoch-Masila and Greg Johnson.
Tom Gilmore's reply after the break was soon cancelled out by Niall Evalds and, although Patrick Ah Van cut Salford's lead once more, Murdoch-Masila and Jake Bibby crossed to wrap up a comfortable win.
The result sends Salford above Leeds Rhinos on points difference.
The day's other match ended in the same scoreline, as Wakefield Trinity halted a three-match losing streak against Catalans Dragons.
Having initially fallen behind, Mason Caton-Brown's hat-trick - three of Salford's first four tries - inspired Wakefield to a win that lifts them above their opponents into sixth.
