MIDDLESBROUGH winger Sam Folarin has sealed a loan move to Scottish Championship side Queen of the South until the end of the season.

Folarin follows in the footsteps of Isaiah Jones and Sol Brynn who completed loan spells at the club.

The 21-year-old has made four senior appearances for Boro since singing from non-league side Tooting and Mitcham last season alongside Jones. He scored his first senior goal in the club’s 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Brentford last January.

Folarin has been knocked back in his progress this season by injury but is expected to feature heavily for the Queen of the South for the remainder of the season.

The winger becomes the club’s second departure of the January transfer window after Onel Hernandez had his loan spell cut short so he could complete a loan move to Birmingham City.
