Saracens knocked Northampton off the top of the Aviva Premiership with a 16-6 victory at Franklin's Gardens.

Alex Goode scored the only try of the game from turnover ball for the visitors, with Owen Farrell kicking 11 points as Saints suffered their first home defeat of the season.

Saints mustered penalties from Ryan Lamb and Stephen Myler but their woe was compounded by injuries to Myler, Courtney Lawes and Dylan Hartley, which will concern England ahead of the autumn Tests.
