I saw Ruben Amorim's ruthless reaction that helped Manchester United turn defeat into victory
Manchester United came from behind to beat Viktoria Plzen 2-1 in the Europa League on Thursday.
Andre Onana was at fault for Nottingham Forest's second goal on Saturday and blundered again to gift the hosts the lead just after half-time. His wayward pass out from his penalty area gifted possession to Plzen and allowed former West Brom and Burnley striker Matej Vydra a tap-in.
That goal did at least spur United into life and they equalised when Rasmus Hojlund tapped into an empty net after a lovely piece of play from Amad. Amorim's side pushed for a winner after that, with Hojlund scoring late on to secure all three points.

Amorim's impact
Amorim has developed a reputation not just for rotation at United, but for in-game changes as well. In six games in charge he has now made 30 substitutes out of a possible 30 and in the Czech Republic, those changes worked.
Hojlund came on to score twice, Mason Mount could have scored twice and positively affected the game. Antony had a hand in the equaliser and as the game became stretched he and Alejandro Garnacho looked a threat.
Amorim was a constant presence on the touchline and was frustrated at times, but he was proactive with his use of subs once again and that was crucial. He was also ruthless in taking off Marcus Rashford, who could have earned a second yellow, and Joshua Zirkzee, who was poor, when his side were chasing the game.
Zirkzee frustrates
There was more than one culprit when it came to giving the ball away for United in Plzen and the most catatrsophic error came from Andre Onana, sending a pass towards Matthijs de Ligt that was simply never on and gifting the hosts the lead.
But some of the most tardy work came from Zirkzee, who was frustrating Amorim from minute one and rarely abated. On several occasions in the first half the head coach turned to his coaching staff when Zirkzee lost the ball, which happened a lot.
The £35m striker lost possession 16 times in the first 45 minutes and while he showed some good touches at times, some of his work was just too casual. Amorim wasn't the only person having a go, with Bruno Fernandes critical of his teammate when he gave the ball away early on and forced the captain to commit a foul.
Zirkzee's slightly casual style doesn't look a natural fit for Amorim's high-intensity approach and the summer signing could well be the first casualty of the new era.
Amorim's away end plea
Amorim had recently asked United fans not to sing his name and in the away end in Plzen they largely followed that directive once again. The 640 fans in attendance went through plenty of classics in the freezing festive temperatures.
The head coach wants the support to be focused on the players on the pitch, but with a lot of them it is a relationship still being built with supporters. Amorim's own messaging about wanting players to run more isn't the kind of message that will endear a playing squad to supporters.
