Scotland fans left fuming after farcical Youtube live stream blunder leaves even HAMPDEN staff struggling to find it
Scotland fans were left raging after the YouTube stream of their clash with Croatia was delayed in starting - and even the TV operators at HAMPDEN were struggling to find the game more than five minutes in.
After no major TV broadcasters in the UK were able to agree a deal to pick up the Nations League A clash - the game was once again made free to air via the national team's Youtube channel - as it had been for the previous two matches against Portugal and Croatia last month. The fixture was also live-streamed on Viaplay International's Youtube channel along with all the other Nations League fixtures on Friday night.
And it's just as well that punters had that second option, with a calamitous error seeing coverage on the Scotland Youtube channel not get underway until AFTER kick-off at the national stadium. A video on X was captured the farcical nature of the coverage, with Hampden officials frantically trying to search for the live stream on Youtube after the game got underway.

Fans on the social media platform also voiced their fury about the big blunder which saw those watching on the Scotland stream miss the national anthems. One wrote: "Fantastic @ScotlandNT no national anthem and starts 10 seconds into the game. Surely we all deserve better?"
Another added: "Missed the anthems cause the YouTube stream hadn’t started - we are a joke". While a third said: "Stream was late, poor show."
