Scotland have ended their Nations League campaign on a high after captain fantastic Andy Robertson saved the day in Warsaw.

The Scots were on course to be relegated from the top-tier after John McGinn's early opener was cancelled out by Kamil Piatkowski's second-half wondergoal. But on the night he earned his 80th cap, skipper Robbo snatched the three points in stoppage time with a bullet header - condemning the heartbroken Poles to bottom spot.

It was an incredible end to the night as Scotland secured third spot and earned the right to protect their A division status via the play-offs in March. Even more remarkable when you consider Scotland were pointless after their first three games in the group. It could have been the perfect evening had Croatia lost by two-goals at home to Portugal, meaning Scotland would've nicked second spot.

But the Croats fought back from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw against the group winners, booking their place in the Nations League quarter-finals. It would have been the dream scenario but nothing will dampen the spirits of the jubilant away end in Warsaw who were treated to an unforgettable night.

The dramatic victory sees Scotland round off the campaign with seven points after two wins, a draw and three defeats. Croatia nudged onto eight, with unbeaten Portugal on 14.
