Scotland this afternoon take to the field for their first major tournament game in a generation as they host Czech Republic in their Group D opener at Hampden Park.

Steve Clarke’s side have qualified for their first tournament since the 1998 World Cup, having overcome Serbia in a thrilling playoff penalty shootout.

With a massive grudge match against England coming up in their second fixture at Wembley, Clarke’s men will be desperate to get off to a good start in front of a home crowd.

Scotland vs Czech Republic is scheduled for a 2pm BST kick-off on Monday, June 14, 2021.

The match will be held at Hampden Park.

Scotland vs Czech Republic team news

Steve Clarke faces some tough decisions.

Centre-backs Declan Gallagher, Grant Hanley, Jack Hendry, Scott McKenna and Liam Cooper have all done well for him at times but there are not two obvious choices to join Kieran Tierney in the back three.

Clarke will also have to choose whether to go with two centre-forwards or pair either Lyndon Dykes and Che Adams with an attacking midfielder such as Ryan Christie or Ryan Fraser.
