Scottie Pippen rents out $2M mansion on Airbnb so fans can watch Olympics from his pool
Sick of watching a Team USA basketball game from your luxurious pool, spending halftime in your arcade room and winding down after a win in your indoor sauna? Maybe you would feel more relaxed doing all those things from Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen's $2 million mansion.
Pippen has placed his mansion on Airbnb so fans can celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic Games in style. Pippen's mansion will be available for rent Aug. 2, Aug. 4 and Aug. 6. It will cost just $92 a night, which isn't bad considering the mansion comes with an indoor basketball court.
Fans interested in staying in Pippen's home — which is located in Highland Park, Illinois — can try to book a spot on Thursday. The booking will open at 1 p.m. ET and will likely be extremely competitive.
In case you're not sold on the idea, Pippen provided a tour of his home last September.
Pippen has put the mansion on the market a few times in recent years. After listing it at $1.89 million in 2019, Pippen re-listed the property for $2 million last October.
Pippen does not live in the house full-time anymore. He mostly lives in Los Angeles, and called the Chicago mansion "kind of a vacation house now" during his video tour.
Scottie Pippen making waves with new book on the way
If you've noticed Pippen making headlines lately, there's a reason for it. Pippen has a new book coming out in November.
He's done a number of interviews which have led to some pretty provocative headlines. He's given blunt assessments of Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons, accused Phil Jackson of racism and said Michael Jordan was acting for the cameras during in-game pep talks.
The Airbnb listing is on the lighter side of that promotion. In the listing, Pippen promises a pre-recorded message for guests who rent out his house. We're guessing that message will be welcoming, and not one that gets him into a Twitter war with one of the game's current stars.
