After losing 2-1 against Benfica in Lisbon on Tuesday night, the Hoops will only go through to the knockout stages if, in their home game against the Russian club, they better the Portuguese side's result in the Nou Camp.

The Catalan giants qualified as group winners with a 3-0 win at Spartak as Celtic struggled in the Stadium of Light and there will be obvious speculation around how seriously Barca will take their last fixture. However, the Parkhead boss is focusing first and foremost on making sure his side are ready for the visit of Spartak in a fortnight's time.

He said: "I can't comment on other teams, other teams' line-ups and other managers, they have to do the best for their own clubs. I'm only focusing on the Spartak game, I won't even look at the other result until after the 90 minutes.

"The Benfica match was probably our most disappointing performance over the five games but we are at home in the last game which is a big boost for us and anything can happen.

"The squad didn't cost a lot of money to put together and they have grown as the competition has gone on. We are making progress and we still have a great chance of qualifying. That was the target when we started out and it remains that."
