No sportsman seems to be able to lose it quite like a tennis player when the red mist descends.

Once they’ve snapped, there really is no way back.

Not only did he lose his head, he went on a mega racquet-smashing rampage.

He broke not one, not two but THREE after his on-court meltdown against Marcos Baghdatis in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Destroying two racquets in one almighty go early on, he saved one final smash for the end as he blew the final set.

The fiery Frenchman, 29, went down 6-3 3-6 2-6 – and it wasn’t just his hands which were causing issues.

Paire, who also lobbed one across the court in an angry rage, took aim at the changeover. He was handed a code violation and point penalty for his efforts.

The crowd then made their feelings known.

After another attack on the court having lost match-point, the supporters turned and he was booed off as he finally made it back to the changing room.

Unsurprisingly, a big fine is set to be coming his way! Smashing.
