Tamara Korpatsch hit out at her teammate for pulling out of their first-round doubles match at SW19 just one hour before they were supposed to go out on court.

On Tuesday night, Tan stunned Williams and the tennis world as she knocked out the returning seven-time champion. After the gruelling three-hour battle, Tan will now set her sights on Thursday's second-round clash against Sorribes Tormo.

On Wednesday afternoon, the French player pulled out of her doubles match against Nadiia Kichenok and Raluca Olaru, citing a thigh issue.

The news did not go down well with playing partner Korpatsch, who took to Instagram to vent her frustration.

The German said: "Unfortunately my doubles partner H. Tan retired from our doubles today. "She just texted me this morning. Let me wait here one hour before the match start. I'm very sad, disappointed and also very angry that I can't play my first doubles Grand Slam. "And it's really not fair for me I didn't deserve that. She asked me before the tournament if we wanna play doubles and I said yes, I didn't ask her, she asked me! If you're broken after a 3h match the day before, you can't play professional. That's my opinion." Korpatsch lost to Heather Watson in her first-round singles clash at Wimbledon. The pair will now be replaced in the doubles draw by Valentini Grammatikopoulou and Peangtarn Plipuech.
