Sergio Aguero makes Man United prediction about Alejandro Garnacho in blunt message
Sergio Aguero says Alejandro Garnacho has the right mentors to learn from at Manchester United as he tipped the Argentine for a bright future at Old Trafford, hitting back at the winger's detractors in a blunt message.
The 20-year-old, who signed from Atletico Madrid in 2020, made his 105th appearance for the Reds in Sunday's draw at Ipswich Town, which was Ruben Amorim's first game as head coach.
The Portuguese tactician is the fourth coach Garnacho has worked with at Old Trafford after being handed his debut by Ralf Rangnick in April 2022 before enjoying a breakthrough 2022/23 campaign under Erik ten Hag. In the time between the sacking of Ten Hag and the arrival of Amorim, Garnacho started three of the four games during Ruud van Nistelrooy's time as interim manager.

Despite putting up such impressive numbers during his two-and-a-half years in the United first-team, Garnacho has taken a fair bit of flack this season for some of his recent performances, especially during the back end of Ten Hag's time at the club.
However, Aguero believes his compatriot is unfairly criticised at times and, in fact, many of his detractors forget just how old Garnacho actually is.
Speaking to Stake.com, five-time Manchester City Premier League winner Aguero said: "Sometimes, people forget how young Alejandro is. His raw talent got him to the Premier League at a young age, and he's proven his worth already.
"I've seen many of his teammates leaning in to help him develop as a pro player, and that's massive. If he has that type of mentorship, I'm sure there's a bright future ahead of him."
Garnacho played 86 minutes at Portman Road on Sunday afternoon as he was used in an attacking midfield role by Amorim.
