The former Juventus superstar is back in Italy for pre-season training with his current club Sydney FC as he prepares for a second season in the A-League after scoring 14 goals in a hugely successful first campaign Down Under.

He has already been tipped for a career in coaching but Del Piero says such thoughts are at the back of his mind.

"Last year was an amazing experience in Australia, I'm very happy with Sydney and for now I'm not thinking about my future," he said.

"I just want to play football. Could I see myself being a football manager? I just don’t know.

"In my career I’ve tried to learn from all my managers, obviously with Marcello (Lippi) I’ve a special relationship because we won together with Juve and Italy."

Del Piero won 97 Italy caps during his career and said there were many highlights.

"I’ve many memories about my career, a lot of games that I would like to replay to try and experience those wonderful feelings again.

"For example the last two games in World Cup 2006 (against Germany and France), but also the bad games so I could try and change their outcomes. "

Del Piero also talked about the racism problem in the stands at Italian grounds, saying it is something that needs to be stamped out.

"It’s an old problem that has existed for decades," he said.

"It is something we need to fight. We have to teach it to our children. We’ve to teach them that we’re all equal."
