The Gazzetta dello Sport are running the line that Milan have enquired at Paris Saint-Germain over the availability of Javier Pastore.

The 23-year-old made his name in Serie A during a spell with Palermo before completing a €40m (£34m) switch out to high-spending PSG.

It is understood that the Rossoneri are considering a move to bring the Argentine back to Italy this summer.

The Gazzetta dello Sport suggest that Adriano Galliani has contacted former Milan colleague and current PSG sporting director Leonardo to begin possible negotiations for Pastore.

The San Siro side are seen as looking through the market for a playmaker to aid a reported planned change in formation for 2013-14 and have otherwise been paired with making a third go at re-signing Ricky Kaka from Real Madrid.

Mauro Icardi opted to snub interest from Napoli in order to join Inter, Sampdoria have revealed.

The 20-year-old striker has already passed his Nerazzurri medical and he is just an announcement away from officially being a new Beneamata signing.

“Icardi was liked by Napoli and Inter,” Samp sporting director Carlo Osti told Radio CRC. “However, he preferred to go to Milan instead.

“To be honest, Napoli were the first side that made a move for him by asking us about his transfer status. But Icardi wanted Inter…”

The Argentine will join the San Siro giants despite the fact that they will not be playing European football next season.

Napoli, meanwhile, booked their place in the groups stages of the Champions League by finishing second in Serie A during the past campaign.

Icardi scored 10 goals in 31 games for Doria.

Livorno claim Inter and Milan are interested in forward Paulinho – but neither can afford to sign him.

The 27-year-old grabbed 19 goals in Serie B and then netted more crucial strikes in the play-offs as the Tuscan club returned to the top flight.

“The boy is liked by both Milan and Inter,” President Aldo Spinelli told “But they lack the most important thing necessary to sign him – money!

“I’m now waiting for some important offers to be made by a number of Russian clubs.

“Once it becomes clear how much these sides want to invest then we’ll decide what to do about his future.”

Sampdoria are also keen on the player who joined the Amaranto in 2004 from Juventude.

The Brazilian has scored 48 goals in 148 games for the port club. He’s also had spells on loan with Grosseto and Sorrento.

Milan’s Adriano Galliani has once more stated that there has been no offer for Stephan El Shaarawy this summer, amid Manchester City’s apparent interest.

City have been linked with a move this summer for the Italian international, whilst Galliani’s admittance that the Rossoneri were once more interested in their forward Carlos Tevez prompted rumours of a possible swap deal.

However, once more the Vice-President as asserted Milan’s position on their No 92.

“For El Shaarawy there has been no offer, there has been no deal placed on the table,” Galliani told Sky Italia today.
