Superstar Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has named his best all-time ODI eleven, and has picked India’s World Cup-winning skipper MS Dhoni to captain his side. Along with Dhoni, there are two more Indian cricketers – Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli – in the eleven.

Shakib Al Hasan has picked former Pakistan opener Saeed Anwar to open alongside Tendulkar. Dynamic West Indies batsman Chris Gayle and India’s Virat Kohli are slotted in to bat at number 3 and 4 respectively – a number below their regular position though.

Arguably the greatest all-rounder ever, Jacques Kallis finds the number 5 slot in Shakib’s side, followed by Dhoni at 6. The all-rounder has placed himself at number 7 as the bridge between the batsmen and the bowlers.

The bowling department comprises four icons of the game – Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan, Pakistan’s Wasim Akram, and the Australian duo of Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath; collectively these four have over 1700 ODI wickets to their name.

The Bangladeshi duo of Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman have been given the NOC by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to feature in the remainder of the IPL 2021. Earlier the board had stated that the duo wouldn’t be allowed to return to the IPL due to international matches.

However, with ECB and BCB mutually deciding to postpone England’s tour of Bangladesh, which was scheduled ahead of the T20 World Cup, to March 2023, the pair has been given green light by the board to join their respective IPL franchises.

Shakib featured in 3 matches for Kolkata Knight Riders in the first half of the season in which he managed to score 38 runs at less than run-a-ball. Mustafizur, on the other hand, was an integral part of Rajasthan Royals’ bowling attack, snapping up 8 wickets in 7 matches at an economy of 8.29. The season resumes on September 19.
