Shenango High baseball team rallies past Wilmington

Mar. 22—A big sixth inning lifted the Shenango High baseball team to a win on Thursday.

The Wildcats plated six runs in the sixth inning to rally for a 9-7 win over Wilmington at home. Shenango also recorded two tallies in the fourth inning and one in the fifth.

On the hill, Joe Campoli pitched three innings and had five strikeouts and eight walks and relinquished six runs — five earned. Trey Ross relieved Campoli and pitched four innings and gave up one run — not earned — and threw one walk and one strikeout.

Tyler Houk drove in three runs for the Wildcats (1-1).

Wilmington scored one run in the first inning, three in the third, two in the fourth and one in the seventh. Wilmington recorded seven hits to Shenango's five.
