Shock as swings at playground set on fire by group of youths in anti-social behaviour

Swings at a playground in County Durham were set on fire by a group of youths at the weekend.

Dalton-le-Dale park, near Seaham, has become a breeding ground for anti-social behaviour.

Patrols have been stepped up in an attempt to control the situation.

A spokesperson for Durham County Council Neighbourhood Wardens – East, said: “Neighbourhood Wardens will be increasing patrols around the Dalton-le-Dale park area due to reports that large groups of youths are hanging around the area and last weekend have set fire to the swings in the small play park.
