The search is on to find Hull City's next manager after owner Acun Ilicali decided to ring the changes. A 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday signalled the end of Tim Walter's brief spell in charge of the Tigers, with the club now on the hunt for his replacement.

After last season's near miss, City fans were hopeful their side would push on under Walter and mount a bid of the play-offs, but they have not been able to find the form they displayed last term under Liam Rosenior.

Some big names have already been linked with the role at the MKM Stadium, with City looking to find the right person to kickstart their season. Our Hull City writer Barry Cooper will be bringing you all the latest as the search develops, with breaking news in our live blog plus all the analysis and up-to-date assessment of the developing situation - and you can get updates sent direct to your phone first by signing up to our FREE WhatsApp service here.
