Simon Jordan wades into Chelsea ownership situation with two-word prediction
Former Crystal Palace chairman turned radio presenter Simon Jordan has given his thoughts on the ownership situation at Chelsea, predicting that a solution will be found between the parties, despite reported differences.
Numerous reports suggest that Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital want to buy each other's shares of the club - with the working relationship between the two at 'breaking point'. football.london understands that Clearlake Capital are adamant they won't cash in on their shares, but the working relationship between those two parties remains professional.
The reports were spoken about on talkSPORT with Jordan giving his thoughts on the situation. He spoke about how the latest update will look like a 'car crash'.
"You often have, with very powerful, influential people that have significant amounts of financial resources, you have a diverging of agendas," said Jordan. "You have John Textor at Crystal Palace...
"I'm not suggesting Steve Parish is very powerful, but he's the chairman. He's not in the financial bracket of [Todd] Boehly or [Behdad] Egbhali, but not withstanding that he's also a powerful fixture at Crystal Palace and you've got Textor and him departing from agendas and it may well be that this is the case [at Chelsea].
"If somebody wants to buy someone else out, someone is going to have to write a big cheque, or they're going to have to find a way. If there's genuine discourse between the two parties, they're going to have to find a way to find some accord.
"But, right now, the underpinning narrative will be - and I'm not suggesting the media are wrong or right here - to add to the travails of a ridiculous amount of money being spent... this ridiculous owner that speaks at conferences about having North-West or North-South games to try and raise money for the pyramid and this guy who spends money left, right and centre on a team who doesn't handle its players very well, wants to get rid of star performers like Raheem Sterling.

"Now, you've got an added indignation that they can't even get on together, so this is another layer and another part of this car crash of a Chelsea story that's being peeled back by aspects of the media and information curves."
Jordan went on to say that he does believe that the ownership of Chelsea will eventually be successful. However, he doesn't believe that co-ownership always works - due to a hierarchy of power.
He also gave a prediction on how he thinks things will work out, adding: "If we are to believe that these are real legitimate disputes, then that's no good to man or beats, but I would suspect that they will find a solution and in the longer game, maybe one of them will exit."
