Ross County have reportedly thrown out bids from Hibs and Dundee for star striker Simon Murray.

Staggies hitman Murray, 32, is in demand after playing a starring role in saving County from relegation last season, scoring 23 goals across all competitions. And the Scottish Sun reports that approaches from Premiership rivals Hibs and Dundee have been booted out by the Highlanders.

Murray spent half a season at Hibs and was loaned to Dundee in January 2018 before upping sticks for South African club Bidvest Wits. The journeyman forward returned to Scottish football with Queen's Park in September 2020 and helped the Spiders secure back-to-back promotions to take them from League Two to the Championship.

He was offered a route back to the Premiership when he joined Ross County in January 2023 for an undisclosed fee and has been a crucial player for the Staggies. Murray scored two goals in the Premiership play-off against Raith Rovers to help preserve the club's top-flight status for another year.

But new boss Don Cowie faces a major fight to keep a hold of his goal machine with Hibs and hometown club Dundee said to be preparing improved offers.
