Simon Zebo’s signature on a contract extension is the big name out of six players who have extended their time at Munster.

Following on from Joey Carbery, Jean Kleyn, Chris Farrell, Liam Combes, Jack O’Sullivan and Alex Kendellen all extending last week, and despite the turmoil surrounding head coach Johann van Graan, this is a boost for the United Rugby Championship side.

Record holder

Zebo has extended for two more years to the end of 2024, giving him time to add significantly to his 148 appearances and 62 tries – the all-time provincial record.

Exciting young prospect Ben Healy has signed a one-year contract extension; the 22-year-old Tipperary fly-half has racked up 144 points in his 27 Munster appearances to date.

Hooker Diarmuid Barron, flanker Jack Daly and props Jeremy Loughman and Kenyan Knox have also signed on for two more years.
