Gymnast Simone Biles is on a quest to chase Olympic hardware for a second time, officially qualifying for the Tokyo Games on Sunday. However, it's safe to say the 24-year-old couldn't have done it alone, and she's celebrating those who played a major role in her success for her first major campaign with Athleta.
Biles announced her partnership with the female-focused apparel company on April 23, citing the brand's "commitment to recognize and support women’s individual and collective strength" as a catalyst to her decision.
Aptly titled "The Power of We," Biles applauds the community of women who have supported her in becoming the GOAT—including her mom, her sister, her teammates and coaches.
"I’ve learned your circle is everything. You become who you hang out with, fortunately for me it’s all family/friends I can also look up to," the 25-time world champion said.
"She’s not one to give up and she’s one of the hardest workers I know. Very determined," Adria Biles added about her sister.
With the help of Athleta, this campaign is another step in the company's mission to "reimagine traditional athletic sponsorships and develop historic, holistic partnerships for women by women that prioritize authenticity, shared values and uplift all aspects of their life."
