Chelsea have been linked with a whole host of names this summer as transfer window madness embarks on Stamford Bridge once again.

The Blues have already brought in five new players and the window has only been open a matter of weeks. Tosin Adarabioyo, Estevao Willian, Omari Kellyman, Marc Guiu and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall have all joined Chelsea on permanent deals with the club's spending just short of £100million this summer.

With plenty more names of interest to the Blues, though, that spending is set to surpass £100million with ease once again. The club, football.london understands, are still after a striker and a winger this summer, with two defenders on the verge of signing.

Chelsea have agreed a £14million deal with FC Basel for versatile centre-back Renato Veiga. The 20-year-old is set to have his medical at Cobham, while the Blues are also on the verge of signing Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino.

Those two are expected to be Chelsea's sixth and seventh signing of the summer window. But with the Blues looking to give Enzo Maresca everything he needs for his debut season with the club, there could be a load more - as football.london takes a look at below...

Jonathan David

Chelsea held talks with Jonathan David's representatives last month with the Lille striker having less than a year remaining on his contract. The Canada international is expected to be available for around £20million this summer but the Blues are yet to build on their initial contact with the striker's agency.

The 24-year-old has scored 71 goals in 146 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille since signing for the French club in 2020 from Gent. David has built himself a reputation of being one of the most clinical strikers in European football and after years of being linked with an exit from France, this summer could finally be the time he moves on.

It is unlikely to happen for a while yet, though. David's Canada side are now through to the semi-finals of Copa America after beating Venezuela via a penalty shootout in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Samu Omorodion

Another striker Chelsea have looked at this summer is Samu Omorodion from Atletico Madrid. However, this one looks more unlikely with the Madrid-based club determined to keep hold of their young Spanish centre-forward.

After impressing on loan at Alaves last season, where he scored eight goals in the Spanish top-flight, Atleti are wanting to keep the 20-year-old around. Chelsea held talks with Atletico last month but were discouraged from making any official offer for the Spaniard.

Nico Williams

A man whose names refuses to go away: Nico Williams. It is no surprise given how well he is doing at Euro 2024 with the highly impressive Spain team. But this one does look unlikely given Williams' wage demands.

Chelsea are unlikely to sanction a move for the Athletic Bilbao winger this summer because of the financial implications, football.london understands. There is, however, a keen interest in Williams.

Johan Bakayoko

Chelsea are interested in signing Johan Bakayoko from PSV Eindhoven this summer as the club continue their search for a right winger. After pulling out of the race to sign Michael Olise, who is Bayern Munich-bound now, the Blues are still looking for a winger to strengthen their options in attack for the upcoming season.

Bakayoko is someone the club are understood to be massive admirers of and they believe a deal could be struck with PSV this summer. The 21-year-old winger is also a target for Arsenal and Liverpool, though, according to numerous reports, so Chelsea may have their work cut out.

Crysencio Summerville

Club scouts watched Crysencio Summerville on several occasions last season. With Archie Gray also previously of interest before he moved to Tottenham a few days ago, Chelsea scouts were present at plenty of Leeds United matches to watch the pair.

Summerville is expected to leave Elland Road this summer after lighting up the Championship last season. The 22-year-old Dutchman is certainly an option but is not expected to be cheap, despite Leeds failing to achieve promotion back to the Premier League after losing in the play-off final.

Jhon Duran

Another striker Chelsea have held talks with. Jhon Duran is admired by Chelsea but interest in the Colombian somewhat cooled recently because of concerns over his attitude and wage demands, football.london understands.

However, it is certainly not one to rule out at this stage and a situation Chelsea could be tempted to revisit depending on how things go for them this summer. Duran is said to be keen on the move to Stamford Bridge and Aston Villa will do business for around the £40million-£45million-mark.
