Sizing John wins Gold Cup as Cue Card falls again

Robbie Power steered Sizing John to victory in the biggest race of the Cheltenham Festival for Jessica Harrington.

Sizing John charged up the hill to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup after Cue Card's challenge was ended by a fall at the same fence as last year.

Robbie Power steered Sizing John to the front after Djakadam made a mistake at the second-last and the Jessica Harrington-trained 7-1 shot stayed on to win the blue riband race of the Festival by two lengths.

Minella Rocco finished strongly to take second, with Native River third as the popular Cue Card went down three from home, just as he did 12 months ago.
