Stoch claimed both the individual ski jumping titles available at Sochi 2014 last month and then won the third World Cup event following the Games in Lahti.

And the result was exactly the same as the World Cup tour headed across Finland to Kuopio with Stoch a comfortable winner with a combined total of 262.7 points.

Severin Freund, who won the first two World Cups after the Winter Olympics, had to make do with second for the second time running behind Stoch.

Norwegian Anders Bardal this time completed the podium with 257.6 points, just 1.3 shy of Freund, while Olympic silver and bronze medallist from Sochi 2014 Peter Prevc was fourth.

Stoch maintains his lead in the overall World Cup standings with just two rounds to go in Norway before the Ski Flying World Championships and then the final two global tour events in Planica.
