Ski Jumping - Takanashi marches on towards Sochi

Sara Takanashi jumped to a record-breaking season on Sunday after scoring a double in Hinzenbach to complete the perfect Winter Olympic preparation.

The teenage sensation, who beat Austria's Daniela Iraschko-Stolz to victory on Saturday, came from behind for the second day in a row to record her tenth win of the season.

The gold medal favourite in Sochi surpassed rival Sarah Hendrickson's mark, after the US skier set a single-season women's record of nine wins in the 2011-12 campaign.

Takinashi finished off proceedings with the afternoon's best jump, going 92.5m for 127.2 points to disappoint the home crowd for the second time this weekend.

Iraschko-Stolz had the opportunity to spoil Takinashi's perfect weekend with the final jump but she could only go 89m for 119.2 points, leaving her 6.8 points off the pace.

And Finland's Julia Kykkaenen completed the podium in third, after her second jump scored an impressive 120.9 points to improve on her fifth place at the halfway stage.
