Roy Keane will reportedly be part of Sky Sports' punditry line-up for Sunday's top-of-the-table clash between Liverpool and Manchester City - despite being involved in a heated exchange with an Ipswich Town supporter last weekend.

The 53-year-old was involved in a pitch-side altercation with supporters at Portman Road last Sunday ahead of Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town. And Keane, who managed the Tractor Boys between 2009 and 2011, was caught on camera offering to meet a disgruntled fan in the car park after the game in an attempt to settle the issue.

The Daily Mail reports that Sky Sports questioned the other employees also pitch-side - Kelly Cates, Jamie Redknapp and Izzy Christiansen - in an attempt to understand the facts of the matter. But despite the incident, it is claimed that Keane - who has less than 12 months remaining on his Sky Sports contract - will be part of the broadcasters' line-up for Sunday's clash at Anfield between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Last weekend's altercation was the second time in as many seasons that Keane had been involved in a confrontation with a supporter after he was headbutted at the Emirates Stadium last season.

It is claimed that Mail Sport will not beef up the security around Keane after last weekend's incident, with the broadcasters' security needs assessed on a match-by-match basis. Arne Slot's side can move 11 points clear of Manchester City should they win at Anfield on Sunday.
