Stevenage boss Gary Smith insists there is plenty of room for improvement despite a fine start to the season.
Smith's new-look Boro side host Crewe on Saturday lying in third place having won three and drawn two of their first five matches.
"It's still early days but I'm pleased we've been able to add points to the board, " said Smith.
"We've got an enormous amount of new faces and those players are trying to build relationships, understanding and spirit so we have to keep working at that.
"But while we're in that process, you don't want to be losing, and of course three away wins was just what the doctor ordered.
"The transition is nowhere near complete."
