SOCHI SCENE: Crosby's goal up close

AP - Sports

SOCHI, Russia (AP) -- When Canadian superstar Sidney Crosby pounced on a turnover and steamrolled toward Swedish goalie Henrik Lundqvist in the second period, there was little doubt that Crosby was going to put it away.

He deked Lundqvist and shoveled it in on his backhand for a 2-0 lead, a finish that was perfectly captured in these two photographs by Associated Press photographers Julio Cortez and David J. Phillip, who were using remote-controlled cameras at the Bolshoy Ice Dome.

Picture this: The football stars destined for the dugout after retirement

John Terry is being touted for a coaching role in Gareth Southgate’s new-look England setup.

The Chelsea captain, who this week celebrated his 36th birthday, is in the twilight of his career at Stamford Bridge.

He has struggled with injury problems this season and is in danger of being left behind as Antonio Conte persists with a 3-4-2-1 formation.

A move into the dugout could enable Terry to remain at the very top level even if his aging limbs mean he is no longer physically ready for another long campaign.

Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard are being linked with similar roles with the Three Lions after hanging up their boots following stints in the MLS.

But which other football stars look destined for a career in management. Yahoo Sport takes a look at the most likely candidates.
