Christian Benteke wonder strike upstaged by Anthony Martial’s artistry?

Christian Benteke’s wonder overhead kick for Liverpool against Manchester United would normally have easily taken goal of the weekend. There was, however, need for debate this weekend because United new boy Anthony Martial scored a wonder of his own on debut to win the game. Social media saw a fair split on which strike was better. Manchester United players “on the p*ss with George Best”

It’s safe to say that Manchester United’s players were very happy after Saturday’s 3-1 victory over Liverpool. That’s because we could hear them. While Daley Blind and Ashley Young were being interviewed after the game, the loud chanting of “We’re gonna go on the p*ss with George Best” can be clearly heard coming from the United dressing room as the two players struggled to hear the questions being asked during the television interview.

FAIL OF THE WEEK: S comes before N in the alphabet

Football fans get a reputation for stupidity sometimes, but there was no defending one Newcastle United supporter this week. Getting involved in a debate with Sunderland fans after the Magpies slipped to the bottom of the Premier League table, he failed to grasp the goals scored rule used by the Premier League. Instead he pointed out that Sunderland were one place ahead of rock bottom Newcastle simply because of the alphabet - and the fact that S comes before N. There’s no helping some people.
