Social Chatter: Eden Hazard - He scores when he wants

James Matthews finds social media at it’s funniest after Eden Hazard finally scored a Premier League goal.

Eden Hazard: He scores when he wants. That was the verdict after the Chelsea star finally found the back of the net in the Premier League.

Almost an entire calendar year (356 days) since last finding the net in the top flight, Hazard remembered how to do it on Saturday.

The Belgian scored twice as Chelsea won 4-1 at Bournemouth…much to the delight of the travelling Blues fans who saw the humour of it all.

Most social media users also saw the funny side too.

One important stat was reeled off too…although he then went and doubled his tally with a second goal against Bournemouth.

It wasn’t just Hazard who was the centre of attention on social media either.

Arsenal stars came in for some serious abuse after a 0-0 draw at relegation threatened Sunderland.

One fan even wished injury upon three of the misfiring Gunners squad.

And former Arsenal and Sunderland striker Niall Quinn, commentating on the game between the two clubs, copped some abuse of his own too.

Not the first (or probably last) time Quinn’s punditry has been criticised.
