Seeing their team lift the mighty Bangkok Century Cup this week was enough for Manchester United fans to get carried away. Shamelessly, Erik ten Hag has been compared to Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola, with it only taking the Dutchman one game to win a trophy... if you can even call it that.
Games needed to win a trophy for an English side:

Klopp - 129

Chelsea are finally making moves in the transfer window, with Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly on the verge of joining the Blues. He may play at centre-back but the Senegalese defender has a trick or two up his sleeve.
Kalidou Koulibaly is a centerback .. who can do THIS 😳

This next one is pre-season football at it's best. Nottingham Forest ramped up preparations for their return to the Premier League with a friendly against Burton, and their fans had a good time mocking their opponents' sponsored substitutions. With plenty of players coming on and off the pitch, the stadium announcer had his hands full keeping up with the action, nevermind remembering to mention the "Doggy Daycare Burton" sponsors each time.
I fear the 2022-23 football season may have already peaked after only a couple of pre-season friendly games. The announcements last night from Burton Albion's tannoy man after every sub, confirming that substitutions are "sponsored by Doggy Daycare Burton", were priceless! #NFFC pic.twitter.com/NuQd4FtSWX

And while on the topic of pre-season friendlies, recently-promoted Sunderland faced Jose Mourinho's Roma side this week, and the Portuguese manager felt the need to step in and intervene. Mourinho was angered about the number of strong tackles made on his players, so entered the pitch to complain. To top it off, Roma made nearly twice as many fouls as Sunderland during the match, with the Italians making 24 fouls to Sunderland's 13.

Pre-season or not, it takes some bravery to nutmeg your own manager during training. Someone's getting dropped for the opening game of the season...
