Somerset cricket club to celebrate 150th anniversary with MCC match

Stogumber Cricket Club is marking its 150th anniversary with a special celebration.

The event, scheduled for Sunday, May 18, will feature a commemorative match against the prestigious Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).

The day will also see past players returning to the club, along with a marquee lunch and traditional afternoon cricket teas.

The club anticipates strong support from the local community for this milestone celebration.

The day will begin with arrivals at 11am, followed by the game between Stogumber and the MCC game starting at 11.30am.

Lunch is set for 1.30pm, with a small fee required for non-trustees wishing to have lunch.

The club expressed gratitude for the support it has received over the years and looks forward to celebrating with the community.
