The Phoenix Suns have acquired point guard Elfrid Payton from the Orlando Magic, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Suns are sending a second-round pick from Memphis to the Magic, league sources said.

Payton, 23, was drafted 10th overall in 2014 and was enjoying his finest season with the Magic, averaging 13 points, 6.3 assists, four rebounds and 1.5 steals in 44 starts. He also shot a career-best 37.3 percent from 3-point range and 52 percent from the floor.

Payton now joins another young club in Phoenix with burgeoning stars Devin Booker and T.J. Warren and plenty of young players who are still trying to find their way.
