Southwestern youth wrestling club competes in Region 3 tournament

Feb. 6—The Southwestern youth wrestling club recently competed in the Region 3 tournament, with four young wrestlers coming home with championship victories.

Prince Sejour won in the 8u 53lb Division, Carter Strunk took home first in the 8u 85lb Division, Zander Upchurch won in the 10u 63lb Division and Austin Greer was victorious in the 12u 86lb Division.

There were also a few wrestlers who finished in second place. Dmontae Sejour finished second in the 10u 59lb Division, Ezra Copenhaver finished second in the 10u 84lb Division, Nolan Zimmerman finished second in the 10u 93lb Division and Jase Hart finished second in the 12u 92lb Division.

Other wrestlers who competed included Andrew Hampton, who finished third in the 6u 38lb Division, Wyatt Holland in the 6u 43lb Division, Evi Sejour in the 6u 43lb Division, Dean Winchester, who finished third in the 6u 43lb Division, Fynn Dean in the 8u 49lb Division, Bentley Becklehimer, who finished third in the 8u 56lb Division, Gabby Davis, who finished fourth in the 8u heavyweight division, Sean Leath in the 10u 77lb Division, Jaxxson Foster in the 12u 78lb Division, Brayden Durham, who finished fourth in the 12u 78lb Division and Jase Jones, who finished in fourth in the 12u 82lb Division.
