Feb. 8—GJHS girls basketball
The Greensburg Lady Pirates seventh grade team moved to 8-1 on the season after defeating Jennings County 35-16. Sophie Buening led the way with 23 points. She was followed by Lulu Webb with six, Alivia Bishop with two, Zoey Schaufert with two and Mila Dehoff with two.
The eighth grade girls played a tough back-and-forth game against Jennings County came out victorious 37-36. Scoring for the Lady Pirates were Kahlen Adams 13 points, Buening 12 points, Aubrie Barnes-Pettit four points, Carly Greiwe two points, Maya Kennelly two points, Webb two points and Bishop two points.
In earlier action in a battle between two undefeated teams, Columbus North got the best of the seventh grade 38-32. Scoring for the Lady Pirates included Buening 22, Bishop four, Webb four, Makayla Kieffer two and Schaufert two.
The Lady Pirates eighth grade girls defeated Columbus North 38-28. Scoring for the Lady Pirates were Barnes-Pettit 24 , Buening six, Adams three, Webb three and Greiwe two.
NDJH girls basketball
The North Decatur eighth grade girls basketball team fell to Batesville 35-15.
Scoring for the Lady Chargers included Sophie Rohls six points, Brooklyn White four points, Brynlee Green three points and Norah Amberger two points.
The eighth grade squad was defeated by South Decatur 33-21. Scoring for the Lady Chargers included Rohls 11 points, White four points, Amberger three points and Green three points.
North posted a 32-28 victory over Milan
White led the Lady Chargers with 19 points. Rohls finished with six points followed by Green three points, Amberger two points and Jessie Biltz two points.
The Lady Chargers are 4-6 on the season.
