Jan. 27—Lady Pirates sectional tickets

Presale tickets for girls basketball IHSAA Sectional 29 are on sale.

Greensburg opens sectional play at 6 p.m. Wednesday against Franklin County at Lawrenceburg. If the Lady Pirates win Wednesday, they would play Friday at 7:30 p.m. against the winner of Rushville and Lawrenceburg. The sectional championship game is set for 6 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets are $7 for a single game or $15 for an all-session . Fans may also purchase tickets at the door each night.

North Decatur sectional tickets

Fans wanting to purchase all-session or individual session passes for next week's girls sectional at North Decatur may do so by going to the following links:

All-session passes and individual session passes will also be on sale at the door each night. All-session passes are $15 and individual session passes are $7.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. each night. Fans should enter Door 1 or Door 22.

GJHS boys basketball

Greensburg's eighth grade boys basketball team played South Decatur Thursday, winning 53-5 to improve to 15-7 on the season.

Stats for the young Pirates included Matthew Fields 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals; Chance Richards 9 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals; Colt McCalvin 9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals; Sam Crowell 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals; Max Buening 7 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals; Mason Herpel 5 points, 7 rebounds; Brennan Noah 3 points, 3 assists, 5 steals; Ethan Koors 2 points; Levi Mucherheide 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals; Josh Alexander 4 rebounds; and Braxton Messer 2 assists.

The young Pirates are back in action at 9 a.m. Saturday in the Greensburg 4-way tourney, facing Shelbyville at Greensburg High School.

NDJH girls basketball

The eighth grade Lady Chargers were defeated by Greensburg Tuesday 38-13.

Scoring for the Lady Chargers were Brooklyn White with eight points, Brynlee Green and Navaeh Schwartz with two points each, and Sophie Rohls with one point. North falls to 2-2 on the season.
