Stanley Nsoki Rangers transfer status as Hoffenheim star has Euro signing rivals

Stanley Nsoki has a number of interested parties across Europe preparing to make a move for the Hoffenheim star.

The centre-half has several clubs chasing his signature but was linked with Rangers this week by French outlet L'Equipe. Manager Philippe Clement has been on the lookout for a defender after Ben Davies left for Birmingham City on a season-long loan and a left-sided player has been sought.

Football Scotland understands Nsoki's salary demands could perhaps be a sticking point as well as the packages available from other interested parties elsewhere. Clement worked with Nsoki back during his time with Club Brugge but the player is still dealt in at Hoffenheim until 2027.

It's been claimed he has held initial discussions with Ibrox hierarchy but sources have indicated that a move is still some way apart as he has other clubs waiting.

Nsoki is a France under-21 cap having started his career with PSG where he made 16 appearances. He has been at Hoffenheim since 2022 but has struggled to nail down a starting spot.
