Star in the Making! Fulham Teenager Defies Defensive Position to Claim Unlikely Goalscoring Record

Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon could well be on a number of Premier League clubs' transfer wish-list this summer as he continues to shine whilst playing for the Cottagers' first-team.

The defender has made a healthy 27 appearances in all competitions this season, which is all the more remarkable considering he is still a month away from his 17th birthday.

The Englishman has impressed for much of the campaign and whilst his main role is to help to keep goals from going in his team's net, it turns out he is pretty good at putting the ball in the opposition's too.

Sessegnon scored Fulham's first goal in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa on Monday to add to a further four goals he has scored in the league this season.

The strike in the 17th minute means that he is now the youngest player in the Championship to score five or more goals this year and further underlines his future potential.

With full-backs now required to attack just as much as they defend these days, the Englishman is proving his worth and is likely to be attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs, so Fulham may do well to hold onto their prize asset at the end of the season.
