Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa have set the tongues wagging that they are dating as never-before-seen selfies with each other have emerged on social media.
News of a possible relationship between the two started when former world No 2 Badosa was spotted in the stands at Court Suzanne-Lenglen during Tsitsipas’ French Open fourth-round win over Sebastian Ofner on Sunday.
The simple explanation would have been that Badosa was making the most of her time in Paris and enjoying a good tennis match at the clay-court Grand Slam.
However, no one expected the Spaniard to even be in the French capital over the fortnight as she didn’t compete at Roland Garros after she was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to injury.
That image sent the internet sleuths into overdrive and unsurprisingly they came up with more “evidence” that the two are romantically involved.
Both players recently updated their profile pictures on the music app Spotify and instead of individual headshots, they went for light-hearted selfies of them together – one in the back of a car and another what appeared to be a museum – and yes, they were very cozy.
Cue social media lighting up about the two possibly “falling in love”.

And once the “evidence” was out in the public, both Badosa and Tsitsipas joined in on the fun as both have asked Spotify for their bonus as Badosa tweeted: “Waiting for the Spotify bonus after that…
Tsitsipas then replied: “Ok, so we’re going regional on this?
Badosa was in a relationship with Cuban model and actor Juan Betancourt for nearly two years, but Spanish publication Hola! reported in May that they had broken up.
However, the 25-year-old Badosa denied the rumours as she took to Instagram to hit back, saying: “The information on the facts is completely backwards and false. You can get better information since you do ‘exclusive’ Thank you.”
Tsitsipas, meanwhile, was rumoured to be dating Theodora Petalas for a long time with his fellow Greek often appearing in his social media pictures.
Tennis, of course, have had several super couples over the years with former world No 1s Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi the most notable in the past few decades while going even further back Chris Evert and John Lloyd were also married.
More recently, Gael Monfils and Elina Svitolina tied the knot in 2021 while Katie Boulter and Alex De Minaur are still dating. Matteo Berrettini and Ajla Tomljanovic were also in a relationship, but broke up in 2022.
