The Golden State Warriors were given a scare on Thursday morning when Steph Curry suffered an injury late on in Game 3 against the Boston Celtics.

The Warriors were down by four heading into the fourth quarter, and were preparing to chase the game with the series tied at 1-1. But a serious injury to Steph Curry left them without their star player.

The Celtics went on to win 116-100 to take a 2-1 lead in the series, and any chance of the Warriors mounting a comeback seemed to rest on the fitness of Curry.

Thankfully though, the 34-year-old delivered a promising statement about his recovery on Friday, insisting that he'll feature in Game 4 on Saturday morning. "I'm going to play," Curry said Thursday. "That's all I know right now."

"Because I went through what I went through in the regular season and coming back, I know exactly what it is and what I've got to deal with and the soreness, pain level and all that. "So once I got checked out last night, I knew I wouldn't have to go get any extra tests just because we've been through this before." The injury occurred as Curry and Horford raced for a loose ball, with the latter landing on Curry's leg to leave him writhing in pain. He was removed from the court with just two minutes remaining, having racked up 31 points. Overall in the Finals he's averaging 31.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.7 steals.

There's no one more crucial to the Warriors' chance of turning this series around, so a collective sigh of relief was likely taken around California when Curry delivered the positive news.

The Warriors also decided against training on Thursday, with the side instead opting for a rest day ahead of their return to TD Garden on Saturday.
