According to reports, Man City forward Raheem Sterling is ‘keeping his options open’ but he is ‘interested’ in joining Chelsea this summer.

Sterling grabbed 17 goals and nine assists in 47 appearances for Man City across all competitions in 2021/22.

The England international was in and out of the team in the Premier League. He started 23 of their 38 games.

Sorry Leeds fans, but we’d really like to see Kalvin Phillips coached by Pep Guardiola

His contract is due to expire in 2023 and Chelsea are showing an interest in the attacker.

Their forward Romelu Lukaku is set to join Inter Milan on loan and the Blues are now planning to ‘turn their attention’ to Sterling.

ESPN are reporting that Sterling ‘is interested in joining Chelsea’ and he is a ‘top summer transfer target’ for Todd Boehly.

It is said that Man City ‘would prefer to recieve a fee for Sterling this summer’. They value him at between £50m and £60m.

They add that ‘Sterling is acutely aware that his next contract will be the most important of his career’. He has ‘doubts whether he is central to Pep Guardiola’s plans’.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to compete with Manchester City for the signing of Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

The England international is one of City’s top targets this summer as they eye a long-term replacement for Fernandinho.

Leeds are reportedly willing to accept a bid worth around £50million and have already brought in Marc Roca – who plays in the same position as Phillips – from Bayern Munich for around £10.4m.

Manchester United were also interested in signing the 26-year-old, however, he never contemplated moving to Old Trafford due to their rivalry with his current team.

An official bid from City is believed to be imminent, but they could face competition from the French champions.

This is according to the Mirror, who claim that Paris Saint-Germain have made a ‘formal approach’ to Leeds over a deal to sign Phillips.

The Ligue 1 giants have ‘contacted’ the Whites to find out how much it would cost to sign the England midfielder.

Phillips will likely be able to triple his wages to around £200,000 if he moves to the French capital, and will also be able to experience Champions League football for the first time in his career.
