Ben Wilmot and Eric Bocat return to the starting XI as Stoke City take on Burnley this afternoon (3pm).

Wilmot is back in, expected to be in a back three, as he takes the place of Andrew Moran and it looks like Narcis Pelach is switching systems.

Bocat takes the place of Enda Stevens, who has not been passed fit to be involved after limping out on Tuesday night against Preston with a calf problem. He is expected to be available next weekend for a trip to Sunderland.

Lynden Gooch is named on the bench for the first time since picking up a knee injury in September while Jordan Thompson is back from suspension and is also among the substitutes.

Stoke are unbeaten in five bur Burnley are one of the promotion favourites, have won three in a row and only conceded six times in their opening 17 matches.

Pelach said in his pre-match press conference: "They have very good players first of all. You have to start with the most important thing and that’s always the players. They have an unbelievable squad, just down from the Premier League, they’re among the favourites to win promotion and it’s working well for them. Of course they are going to be there and they have just set a record in Championship history as the first team to concede as few as six goals in the first 17 games. That’s never been done before so it’s a hard game.

"When you see the games they play, they don’t give away chances. Opponents aren’t getting shots on target, they’re keeping clean sheets and they’re very, very, very solid. They keep the ball as well so they give you nothing, basically. We will need to be very clear in the way we do things because this is a different game, different opponent, different level of opponent. I will tweak things a little more than usual, maybe, in order to counter the opponent. It’s a tough game but I’m excited as well because I see it as a challenge, an opportunity for us to try to do something special."
