The UK grime artist was set to perform in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Singapore, Tokyo, Japan, Shanghai, China and Seoul in South Korea from 20 March to the 29th, but took to Twitter on Thursday 13 February announce that he’s “regrettably having to reschedule” because of the “ongoing health and travel concerns.”
"I was seriously looking forward to bringing the #HITH World tour to Asia and playing some epic sold out shows,” the Big For Your Boots hitmaker wrote. "Information regarding the rescheduled dates will follow in due course. Please contact your local ticket vendor for any further queries. I promise I'll be back."
Stormzy kicked off his current tour at Belgium’s Ancienne Belgique on 10 February. As it stands, his next show is expected in Berlin, Germany on 20 February. In September, he set to perform at London’s 02 Arena, having visited New Zealand, Australia, the United States and a handful of other UK locations in the months prior.
The tour - which accompanies the release of his second studio album, a follow-up to his lauded Gang Signs and Prayer - will conclude in Lagos, Nigeria in October.
The news comes just days after the Mobile World Congress - which was set to take place in Barcelona, Spain - was cancelled by the World Health Organisation because of the coronavirus outbreak.
