STP 500: Dale Earnhardt Jr. done for day after seven-car wreck involving Denny Hamlin, Danica Patrick

Junior's afternoon in Martinsville ends in disappointment.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will leave Martinsville empty-handed.

With 82 laps to go in Sunday's STP 500, a seven-car wreck initiated by Denny Hamlin and Danica Patrick ended up knocking the radiator out of Junior's car.

Earnhardt was behind Hamlin but got the worst of the accident. He immediately returned with his car to the garage.

Junior started the afternoon in 21st position, but finished only 418 laps.

Hamlin and Patrick were able to continue racing.
