If a streaker streaks in a stadium with no fans in it, can they truly be said to have streaked at all?

That is the question one man posed during Thursday night’s Europa League quarter-final first leg between Granada and Manchester United at Nuevo Estadio de Los Carmenes - and the answer is, well, yes.

Granada currently sit ninth in LaLiga, and the Spanish club’s run to the last eight of the competition saw many proud fans out in the streets of the city to celebrate before the game.

Granada fans let off red flares and warmly greeted their team bus at the stadium in the run-up to the game, while the reception for the United coach was slightly less welcoming.

Covid-19 restrictions sadly mean Granada fans were not allowed into the stands to watch their side face one of the European greats in United, but - despite supporters being barred from entry - that did not stop one very determined, and very naked, man from making his presence felt.

Early on in the first half, a wild-haired marauder sauntered across the Nuevo Estadio de Los Carmenes turf, briefly caught by the broadcast cameras before attentions were turned elsewhere as he was apprehended by police.

Thankfully for the teams, the incident was over quickly and played continued. Thankfully for the streaker, it was a warm night in Granada.
