Strokosch joins Perpignan

Scotland international Alasdair Strokosch has signed a two-year contract with Perpignan.

The 29-year-old flanker heads to France from Gloucester after five years with the Premiership outfit.

Strokosch was recommended to the club by his compatriot Nathan Hines, who currently plays for Clermont but represented Perpignan for four seasons from 2005-09.

Strokosch becomes Perpignan’s ninth summer recruit.

The men in blood and gold finished the 2011-12 Top 14 season in 11th place.
