Succession star Brian Cox's new movie confirms Prime Video release date
Prisoner's Daughter, an upcoming thriller starring Succession's Brian Cox and The Widow's Kate Beckinsale, will begin streaming on Prime Video from July 4.
The movie, which is directed by Catherine Harwicke (Twilight, Thirteen), centres on Max (Cox), a terminally ill ex-con who is granted compassionate release after serving 12 years in prison, provided he stays with his estranged daughter Maxine (Beckinsale).
Maxine grudgingly allows her father to move in since she needs some money to support her son, Ezra (Christopher Convery), but she has little interest in reconciliation or allowing Max to have a relationship with Ezra.

The official synopsis continues: "To make matters worse, Maxine also has to contend with Ezra's father, Tyler (Tyson Ritter), an abusive addict who wants more control over his son’s life.
"As Max seeks one last chance to redeem himself in her eyes, they must contend with his dark, violent past as it comes back to haunt them all."
Prisoner's Daughter was written by Marc Bacciand, and also stars Jon Huertas (This Is Us) and Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters).

In other news, Succession aired its series finale on Sunday (May 28), after which Cox took to Instagram to bid farewell to the acclaimed drama and his character, Logan Roy.
"We have now come to the end. And what has been, in my career, certainly the greatest work experience ever. The harmony between crew and cast was truly amazing," he wrote. "It was on its way to become a great series, but the love and commitment from crew to cast and writers made it memorable."
The actor is next set to star in a coming-of-age film titled Little Wing, alongside Yellowstone's Kelly Reilly and Cocaine Bear's Brooklynn Prince.
Succession season 4 airs on HBO in the US, and Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
